A study on the characteristics of contact force of a hinge with clearance under different working conditions

Abstract:Under different working conditions, in order to study the influence of Contact Force of Hinge with Clearance more accurately and improve the operation accuracy of space mechanisms, a new contact force model of revolute joint with clearance is established, based on the fractal theory, the Lankarani-Nikravesh model, the macro theory and micro theory, considering friction and damping between asperities and other factors. The correctness of the new model is verified by experiments. Based on the single factor experiment, the effects of rotational speed, clearance, gravity and surface roughness on the characteristics of contact force of hinge with clearance are studied. The research results could provide a reference for the design and theoretical research of spatial mechanism ontology structure.
