Abstract:Abstract: A portable high-g impactor is designed to test impact larger than 8000g for inertial switch. Dynamic analysis of the impactor is carried out with the Hertz theory of elastic mechanics. Relationship between the structure parameters and the impact characteristic of the impactor are obtained and solved with the tetra-order Runge-Kutta algorithm. Calibration with Endevco2270 shock accelerometer is performed to show the impactor can generate shock acceleration of maximal amplitude about 8400g with impulse width about 110μs. The relative error is below 6% in the test of the same height, which shows the output stability is good. The impactor is small, light, portable and easy to maintenance, can be used to test impact for inertial device in small size and experiment of shock resistance.
