Noise reduction method of mine blasting seismic wave signal based on adaptive VMD-MPE algorithm

Abstract:The measured seismic wave signal in mine blasting contains a lot of high frequency noise, which covers up the real signal characteristics to some extent, and it is not conducive to analyzing the harmful effects of blasting. In order to effectively reduce the noise component in measured signal. A denoising method of mine blasting seismic wave signal based on adaptive VMD-MPE algorithm is proposed. The intrinsic mode function (IMF) was obtained by variational mode decomposition (VMD) for the original signal, and the mode number K can be adaptively determined by the energy difference parameter ξ. The IMF was randomly detected by multi-scale permutation entropy (MPE) to accurately distinguish the real IMF and the IMF noise, and the IMF noise was removed to achieve the purpose of denoising. The processing of three groups of measured mine blasting seismic wave signals shows that the model can effectively remove the high frequency noise and retain the real component of the signals. Moreover, its denoising effect is better than that of EEMD-MPE and CEEMDAN-MPE algorithms, which verifies the effec-tiveness of the adaptive VMD-MPE denoising method.
