Abstract:In order to improve the accuracy of nonlinear vibration solution obtained by averaging method, the impact of damping on the vibration cycle must be considered.The different function of circular frequency, between the differential equation to be solved and the derived equation ,can be expressed as a polynomial of damping coefficient. Usually it will improve the accuracy of the averaging method in larger scale by take the damping coefficient as the different function easily.The linear damping vibration and Duffing-type damping vibration have been solved with improved averaging method .It is proved that the improved averaging method is effective to improve the accuracy of the solution by compare with the exact solution of the linear damping vibration and the numerical solution of the Duffing-type damping vibration.
