Abstract:Abstract:In the model updating process, the experimentally measured frequenices and modal shapes should be used simultaneously when employing improved cross-model cross-mode (ICMCM) method. This paper takes the modal shapes of the finite element model as those of the experimental model and makes use of iteration to circumvent the drawback of lacking experimental modal shapes. Model updating of GARTEUR benchmark model using ICMCM mehtod based on the three international criteria and comparisons with those of others research institutes are shown. Results show the feasibility of the proposed improved method and the advantage of the GARTEUR updating results.
