Abstract:Power spectra expressions of along-wind and cross-wind fluctuating wind load acting on transmission tower were deduced based on the fundamental linear mode generalized force spectra obtained through a wind tunnel test.Time histories of along-wind and cross-wind fluctuating wind load were simulated based on these spectra. Dynamic characteristics of single tower and the coupling system were analyzed. The results show that The out-plane vibration modes of tower in the system are most likely to occur coupling with cables, even the frequency is far below the same order natural frequency of single tower. Time histories of displacement, acceleration and internal force et al were obtained based on nonlinear dynamic time-history analyses of the transmission towers-line system and single tower. The wind-induced response spectra and diffences between the case applying across-wind loads and the case not applying were analyzed.
