Abstract:A new source separation method is presented based on velocity transfer function (VTF), and its interconnection to the method based on frequency response function (FRF) is deduced in theory. It is found that VTF-based method is simplified representation of FRF-based method without considering coupling among noise sources. The separation efficiency can be increased dramatically with VTF-based method for the velocity of noise source can be measured directly without requiring any impendence or mobility parameters. Since resilient isolators are extensive used in modern submarine, the coupling effect among structural noise sources have been greatly weakened, which provide a precondition for widely applying the proposed method. Then the validity of deduction is examined using an experiment to separate noise source among supports of pipeline.
