Abstract:The hybrid FE-SEA model to predict the Insertion Loss of the sound package in mid-frequency under the structural excitation was proposed, and the model turned to be good predictions compared to the results compared to experiments. Based on the model, the parameters of the sound package was changed and the relatively IL were calculated. A rule was presented that the most sensitive parameters to the IL dips frequency characteristic was those parameters affect the whole structure mode characteristic mostly. Finally, the conclusion was got that the most effective sound package applied on the structure when the structure-borne sound was the main sound transmission path was the Septum-backed carpet.
