Abstract:Abstract: Aimed to achieve high speed and large maneuverability performance, the buffet loads should be considered to provide adequate strength in all corners of the operational envelope. Buffet subcases are split according to flight conditions, which are employed to establish storing relations of data base for buffet load data. A method is proposed to reconstruct buffet loads from limited buffet response measurements. The ultimate load for aircraft vertical tail buffeting is predicted based on the selected probabilistic distribution model. Finally, the procedure of this method is illustrated by the prediction of ultimate load for an aircraft vertical tail buffeting.
