Abstract:Abstract: In this paper, according to Love’s shell theory, the free vibration of rotating circular cylindrical shell is studied. Aiming at the different boundary condition, the effects of geometric parameters on nature frequency and the ratio of vibration mode for the circular cylindrical shell are analyzed. The research results show that the effect of the thickness-to-radius ratio on nature frequency is not notable, and nature frequency of rotating cylindrical shell monotonically increases along with the increase of the thickness-to-radius ratio. While, the effect of the radius-to-length ratio on nature frequency is notable, and nature frequencies don’t monotonically change along with the change of the radius-to-length ratio. In addition, the effect of the radius-to-length ratio has great influence on the ratio of mode vibration for rotating cylindrical shell. Therefore, there exists remarkable difference between dynamic characteristic of slender shell and short shell. This research will supply reference to dynamic study of circular cylindrical shell.
