Cepstrum Analysis Method in Surface Acoustic Wave Signals Time Delay Estimation

Abstract:When residual stress in laser cladding layer is measured by means of Surface Acoustic Wave(SAW), it is critical that the time delay of SAW signals be read precisely. The time delay of SAW signals can’t be estimated precisely by traditional correlation analysis method. A time delay estimation algorithm based on complex cepstrum is proposed in this paper,it is shown from the computer simulation and experimental results that the new algorithm has higher precision and certain anti-jamming capability in comparison with traditional correlation analysis method. According to the characteristics of SAW signals, the reason that time delay estimation algorithm based on complex cepstrum is superior to correlation analysis method is analyzed in theoretical.
