Abstract:As a example of tailstock in seismic exploration, which is fit for those sites always difficult to install geophones by tail-cones such as the ballast site in railway, theoretic analysis is carried by the mobility and modal analysis theory. It shows the effects of the added quality and contact stiffness of the geophone response on the response characters in the frequency domain. The actual geophone has been used in model testing and field trials, from which the field tests is analyzed in contrast. The results are consistent with the theoretical analysis, which shows the influence on ideal bandwidth by added quality and contact stiffness. It has been proved that the tailstock detector is feasible in the real production. This essay also describes the essential characteristics of this kind of geophone with tailstock.
