Abstract:The theory of extended fourier amplitude sensitivity test is introduced and the parametric model of piping system of main power on ship is built by ANSYS-APDL. The procedure for applying extended fourier amplitude sensitivity test to computing sensitivities of the model is programmed by MATLAB software. The sensitivity analysis indicates that the key factors influence the shock response of the piping system studied are thick of the pipe, the rigidity of the elastic hanger, the quality of the lump, the spot of the lump, and the spot of the elastic support, The result and the study method can be used in the optimal design of shock resistant of piping system.
