Abstract:Creep groan is a typical automotive brake friction vibration and noise problem.Till now,there are no well-known test regulations,objective measurement and subjective evaluation methods in the circle of automotive industry.Here,total vehicle road tests of three types of passenger cars were carried out under seven combined test conditions,considering effects of driving torque,suspension deformation and braking deceleration.During the road tests,subjective evaluation was done and vibration signals were sampled.On the basis of subjective evaluation results of three cars under seven conditions,the influence modes and levels of braking deceleration,driving torque and suspension deformations on creep groan were investigated.Three criteria for higher sensitivities to vehicle type variation,operation variation and amplitude variation were established and used to choose the index with the optimal mapping relation to subjective evaluation from 40 objective evaluation indexes based on vibration acceleration,the function relationship between this index and subjective evaluation was built with fitting technique.
