Analysis of the Influences of Flexible Gearbox on Dynamic Meshing Performance of Gear Pair

Abstract:The meshing performance of gear pair is not only decided by the gear system but also by the dynamicalcharacteristic of gear box. The modal analysis of gear box was investigated by simulation and experiment method, and then the simulation model was verified by the methods of frequency error analysis and modal assurance criterion. Based on the multiple body dynamic theory and considering the influence of flexible gear box, the coupled vibration analytical model of transmission was constructed, by which the difference of mesh misalignments, contact pattern, transmission error and dynamic meshing force of gear pair were investigated.The contact pattern experiment of gear pair was carried out. The comparison results showed that it is necessary to take the influence of elastic gear box into account. Finally,the structure optimization of gear box was researched. Based on the simulation model, the better meshing performance of gear pair was predicted.
