Abstract:An experiment for the high speed hybrid gas bearing was presented in this paper to acquire the highest rotating speed of the system. The dynamic characteristics were analyzed by employing the three dimensions spectrum, response time diagram, bode diagram and axis center locus diagram. The results indicated that the low frequency whirl phenomenon of the rotor (weights: 15.19 kg) which supported by the hybrid gas bearings can be observed at the rotating speed of 42700rpm. This supplied the experimental supervision for the bearing support system design of rotating ramjet.
