Abstract When the areo-engine is running, the vibration signals measured by the sensors are mixed with all vibration sources and include the very strong noises. It’s difficult to separate the mixed signals with conventional methods of signal processing, which induces the difficulties of the machine health monitoring and fault diagnosis. The principle and method of blind source separation is introduced, and point out that the blind source separation algorithm is invalid in strong noise environment. For the vibration signals in strong noise environment, de-noising the vibration signals with time-delayed auto-correlation method firstly, and then separate the de-noised signals with the blind source separation algorithm. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. Finally, the mixed rotor’s vibration signals is separated successfully using the proposed method, and provides a new approach for the mixed vibration signals in strong noise environment.
