Abstract The effect of load frequency on the vibration fatigue behavior of cantilever beam was studied. First, three kinds of sine loads with different frequencies were loaded on three groups of cantilever beams. The initial stress on each specimen is the same. The variations of stress vs cycle for each specimen were measured. Then, base on the stress history from experiment, the fatigue damage of cantilever beam was calculated, and the effect of different load frequencies on vibration fatigue behavior of the same cantilever beam had been investigated. Finally, the calculation results was compared with the results of the frequency decrease that measured by experiment. The results show: the load frequencies have a large effect on vibration fatigue life, the calculation results was agreed well with the experiment results
