Abstract Based on three degrees of freedom forced vibration device, the actual bending vibration modes at large attack angles for real structure were simulation, and the influence of vertical vibration on the aerodynamic derivatives H1*、H4*、A1*、A4*, was further investigated through a series of wind tunnel tests with rectangle and H-section. The results show that vertical vibration modes have obvious effect on aerodynamic derivatives H1*、H4*、A1*, and the influence degree is relevant with wind attack angle and cross section. However, the variation of aerodynamic derivatives versus the non-dimensional wind speed do not affect by vibration modes. Contrastive analysis shows that it is necessary to identify the flutter derivatives with vertical bending vibration mode consistent with the actual structure under large attack angles.
