| Progressive Collapse Mechanism Analysis of H-Beam to Concrete-filled Steel Tubular Column with Steel Inner-diaphragm Joints |

Abstract To investigate the progressive collapse resistance mechanism of H-beam to concrete-filled steel tubu-lar(CFST) column connections with the inner-diaphragm, finite element model(FEM) of the two half-span joint under the middle-column removal scenario was established using ABAQUS. The displacement control loading method was used in FEM. The resistance capacity curves, failure modes and resistance mechanism curves of joints were calculated. The pa-rametric analysis of H-beam to CFST column connections with inner-diaphragm were studied to find the influence law under different parameters, such as beam strength, tube strength, core concrete strength, inner-diaphragm strength, steel ratio of column, thickness and width of inner-diaphragm, and span-depth ratio. The results indicate that the joints’ failure evolution modes from beam flexural mechanism to catenary tension mechanism and damaged stage ultimately. Increas-ing beam strength and reducing span-depth ratio have lower influence to the resistant collapse capacity, increasing in-ner-diaphragm strength, width and thickness can decrease the resistant collapse capacity, and the others have not obvious influences.
