Abstract
A new plan is presented to improve the performance of seat-buffer system of reentry capsule. The articulated sustentation is changed into sideling elastic sustentation. The dynamics model of seat-buffer system is established using ADAMS. With method of parameterized modeling, optimal design for the parameters of sideling elastic sustentation is accomplished. The dynamic simulation results of the optimized seat-buffer system show that the optimized seat-buffer system not only decrease the shock response along chest-back direction, but also observably reduces the shock response along head-ilium direction compared with the former system.
