Abstract Base on high-frequency-force-balance technique in TJ-1 wind tunnel, the mean and RMS forcecoefficients were obtained in different incoming wind turbulence, and the power-spectrum-density are derivedfrom the extreme along-wind, across-wind and torsional fluctuating wind forces. In light of these results, themathematical models of wind load on superstructures of 500kV single-circuit transmission tower are studied byapplying least-square-method. The results can be used to evaluate wind-induced dynamic response of typicaltransmission towers in frequency domain, and they are also helpful for the code revision.
