Abstract:The dynamic mechanic properties of early-strengthed polystyrene(EPS) concrete under 12 hours’, 24 hours’ and 36 hours’ maintenance duration were studied using split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB) apparatus. The corresponding stress-strain curves were gained, which was compared with the stress-strain curve of EPS concrete under 28 days’ maintenance duration. The results show that the dynamic compressive strengthes of EPS concrete under 36 hours’ and 28 days’ maintenance duration increase with the enhancing of strain rate, however the dynamic compressive strengthes of EPS concrete under 12 hours’ and 24 hours’ maintenance duration don’t increase obviously with the strain rate. Also the relation between dynamic compressive strength and average strain rate and influence of maintenance duration to dynamic compressive strength were researched. It is showed that the impact mechanics properties of EPS concrete increase with the enhancing of maintenance duration.
