Abstract: In order to study the vibration response and radiated noise of elevated structures subjected to moving trains, a 3D vibration model and a 2D sound field model for simply supported girder are established by FEM. The dynamic response and radiated noise of the girder are calculated, with the train running at a velocity of 60km/h. The result shows that the frequency spectra of noise and vibration are similar, except that there is an obvious peak near 160Hz in noise spectrum. The coherence analysis of the spectra shows that, the influence of radiated noise on environment can be effectively controlled by adjusting the vibration level below 90Hz of the girder. The influences of parameters, such as structural damping, support stiffness, vehicle speed and vehicle loading, upon the vibration response and radiated noise are analyzed by changing the parameters.
