Study on the control system of an adaptive-active tuned vibration absorber based on magnetorheological elastomers

Abstract:In order to control automatically an adaptive-active tuned vibration absorber based on magnetorheological elastomers, an algorithm of combining mutative step-size optimization and feedback control was implemented, a controller based on TMS320F2812DSP was designed. Using this control system, the vibration attenuation performance was experimentally investigated on a multi-modal experimental platform. The experimental results show that the controller can control the absorber independently and efficiently in 15 seconds.
