Abstract:Abstract: With the difficulty of gear system’s diagnosis at the incipient tooth failure under complex structure and work condition, referencing transmission error detection method used in detecting gear setting error and machining error in the precision machine, this paper established a transmission error signal model of two-stage fault gear system, analyzed the effect of incipient gear face wear of middle axis and geometrical offset to the transmission error. Experimental examples were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The results show that transmission error signal had high SNR and the performance of the transmission error detection method is good to diagnosis incipient tooth wear under the complexity structure and work condition.
