Experimental Study on A Impact Piezoelectric Generator

Abstract:A piezoelectric generator was designed and manufactured. Firstly, by analyzing related factors on piezoelectric ceramic’s power generation, the shape and size of the piezoelectric ceramic was determined. The stiffness requirement of impact spring and recover spring was given. Secondly, the piezoelectric ceramic’s modes and piezoelectric generator’s impact response spectrum were measured, showing that impact can excite piezoelectric ceramic’s axial vibration modes, so the piezoelectric ceramics produced more electric charges. Finally, the generating power of piezoelectric generator was tested, its instantaneous power can reach 0.3W, and can light up 210 LED.
