Abstract:The deformation mechanism and energy absorption characteristics of the square honeycomb sandwich plates under blast loading are analyzed by the finite element numerical simulation method.With the given per unit mass,cell size and core height,by comparison of sandwich plates’s energy absorptivity and face sheets’s maximum deflection under different core relative density,the optimal core relative density of the sandwich plates is obtained.On this condition,the core have the highest energy absorptivity,the minimum deflection in the bottom face sheet and the sandwich plates have superior shock resistance.Furthermore,effects of geometrical parameters including cell size,core web thickness,core height and face sheet thickness on the energy absorptivity are discussed in the analysis to obtain optimal sandwich structure.
