Abstract:Dynamic mechanical performance experiments are carried out for amphibolite specimens under the cyclical impact loadings by using the SHPB. It is analysed about the relationships between the change of stress-strain curves and the cyclical action times of impact load, and among the dynamic modulus, strain rates and confining pressures. It is demonstrated that the Young’s modulus of amphibolite decreases along with the increase of cyclical action times of impact load, when the confining pressure and impact loading are fixed. The normal stress on rupture surface enhances with the increase of confining pressure, and white rock powder will come forth on the rupture surface under the action of cranny’ friction and slippage. When the rock specimen was shattered and the accumulative absorption energy is equivalent, the higher confining pressure is, the smaller the total areas of rupture is. Energy absorbency ratio increases with the augment of the strain rate, and decreases with the augment of confining pressure. The formulas are putted forward among the energy absorbency ratio, strain rate and the confining pressure.
