Abstract:An eccentric fault degree identification method of turbo-generator based on the stator vibration comparison between the pass-bend intensity and some specific component’s amplitudes is presented in this paper. The influential vibration factors of the stator and the rotor are firstly analyzed and compared to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method. It is found that the stator vibration is mostly affected by those faults which influence the magnetic flux density, such as air gap eccentricity. Then the stator vibration characteristics under the normal condition and the eccentric faults are deduced, and meanwhile the specific identification method is proposed. Finally experiment verification is taken on a SDF-9 fault simulating generator. It is shown that the eccentric fault degree can be objectively identified by the presented method. Through the achievements obtained in this paper, a new thought and reference which have active meaning for the generator fault degree identification is offered.
