Abstract:The impact-crushing granularity distribution of lump coal possess a fractal character. A fractal model for impact crushing granularity of lump coal was proposed based on fractal theory. The impact crushing experiments of lump coal in different mines were carried out. The cumulative weight percentage undersize of crushed lump coal under different experimental conditions were fitted. The fitting curves show that the fractal model is suitable for the granularity distribution of crushed lump coal, and the granularity fractal dimension is a important parameter for the evaluation of impact crushing effect for lump coal. A quadratic model between the granularity fractal dimension and experimental variables was established used the Matlab software. The average error between the predicted results and experimental results was 2.51 percent and meet the requirement of the prediction error, which provided a theoretical foundation for controlling the granularity distribution of crushed lump coal.
