Abstract:The influence of wheels ovalization on time-frequency characteristics of high speed train is investigated. A space coupling model of vehicle track system is presented and dynamic response of vehicle system due to wheels ovalization and harmonic irregularity is obtained. The Hilbert-Huang Transform (HHT) based on improved Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) is proposed and introduced to the vibration signal analysis of vehicle-track coupling system. Then the time-frequency distribution and energy distribution of dynamic response are obtained and analyzed. The simulation indicates that wheels ovalization can induce the frequency modulation of vehicle response, the vehicle hunting and the nonlinear change of vibration energy distribution.
