Abstract:The relationship between back packaging of ultrasonic motor and its carrying capacity of pre-load is studied. The vibration model was found and analyzed under different packaging ways taking board-type horizontal linear ultrasonic motor in sizes of 36mm×5mm×4mm as example. The effect of packaging on stiffness of the motor was summed up using equivalent stiffness model. The relationship between packaging and pre-load was also picked out. Through tests, the largest carrying capacities of pre-load of each packaging way were carried out. The results show the motor in partial back of distributing flexible supporting can withstand a maximum pre-load of 16N when the excitation frequency is 63 kHz and voltage is 150 Vpp. The output thrust is twice more than normal packaging way, which confirmed that back packaging can change the force transmission path so that to make the motor withstand a greater pre-load.
