Abstract:Two widespread vibrations which are axial moving string effect and disc effect of the wind wheel in operating condition were discovered by using the PULSE16.1 system in mode experiments of four wind turbines. There are reciprocating stress and rotary stress respectively at the blade root while the vibration generating, which affect the stable operation and life of the wind turbine. There is a large influence of getting the vibration characteristics of the wind wheel completely and accurately by the conventional experimental method which wind wheel installed through the fixture and tested in the plane compared with the wind wheel tested under hook state. Preliminary analysis, the generation of the axial movement effect is mainly due to the elasticity of the tower and the generation of the disc effect is mainly due to the installation of the wind wheel. The two vibration characteristics may provide some new idea and theoretical support for the analysis of fatigue damage accident of many wind turbine blades in their running time which is much shorter than the design life.
