Abstract:When the vibration absorber is applied to attenuate the vibration of the flexible structures, the influence caused by the base of the vibration absorber cannot be ignored. In order to understand the characteristics of the impact, some researches are carried out. A mathematical model of the system composed of the vibration absorber with the base and the clamped-clamped beam was established. With the model, the vibration attenuation effects of the vibration absorbers were simulated through the power flow and vibration magnitude. The performances caused by the location, size, mass and the connection points number are investigated emphatically. The results show that the vibration attenuation effect and the effective frequency range of the vibration absorber can be improved by optimizing the base.
