Abstract:In order to deal with the problem of much time consumption and low precision in the process of traditional serial finite element analysis, a CPU-GPU heterogeneous platform relying on the CUDA framework paralleled calculating technology was developed, which can satisfy the requirements of high precision and efficiency in the aspect of finite element analysis. Algorithms of the seismic response of high-rise structure were studied and specified based on the CPU-GPU heterogeneous platform. All time-step integration was implemented on the GPU; furthermore, precondition conjugate gradient method was introduced in the procedures of solving the linear equations in each time-step integration. Eventually, Newmark-β algorithm based on GPU was realized. High precision and efficiency were successfully proved by numerical examples.
