Abstract:Knitted-dapped metal rubber is a new kind of non-linear material. Tests of knitted-dapped metal rubber on compressive mechanism were carried out to research the compressive performances. The test result was analyzed in the microcosmic aspect. Structure units were abstracted. A constitutive relation model for the construction member was established and it was proved to be correct by the comparison of calculated result and test data. The results show that knitted-dapped metal rubber’s compressive deformation has two phases that are linear stage and hardening stage. Many factors, such as the friction coefficient and metal coils’ geometric parameters, can influence the stiffness of the construction member. And the description for the relationship of the material’s force and displacement by constitutive relation model is satisfactory.
