Experimental research on dynamic response of pavement under moving load

Abstract:In order to compare with dynamic response theoretical model of pavement, a new test rig is proposed in this paper. With help of experimental and numerical simulation methods, the dynamic response of pavement under moving load is researched. The vehicle-pavement test rig includes a vehicle model and a distribution of stiffness pavement-roadbed model, and the vehicle model includes a resonance source vehicle and a quarter vehicle model. The dynamic response of distribution of stiffness pavement under moving resonance load and fixed shock excitement were studied respectively by using experimental and numerical methods. The analysis results shows that the designed test rig is usable, and the experiment results can meet closely with numerical results.
