Research of Block Structural Modeling Technology of Diesel Engine Based on Modal Method

Abstract:Good modeling technology has become the key technology for affecting the calculation model accuracy and the simulation of noise and vibration of diesel engine. Paper describes the relevance analysis for the calculation mode and experimental modal of the block, and evaluates the reasonableness of the block model, and sets the characteristic sensitivity method as the theoretical basis for the dynamic characteristics of the modified structure, then determine the correction direction of the dynamic characteristics of the structure, and thereby establish high-precision calculation model. Meanwhile, the comparison results of original and modified model show that it is very reasonable for the block modification applications based on the correlation analysis between the modal testing and simulation. On this basis, paper discusses and establishes the process of block modeling technique, it is conducive to reduce the development cycle of new diesel engine significantly.
