Abstract:Cylinder head vibration acceleration signals are measured from a 195 type diesel engine by changing torque, speed and injection timing. The signals are analyzed and results show that amplitude of maximum fluctuation and frequency components under 2kHz of acceleration are related with combustion status in the same speed, while both the amplitude of maximum fluctuation and frequency components under 2kHz of acceleration have no corresponding relation with combustion status in different speed. The influence of pretightening forces and material stiffness is studied using a finite element modal of the engine. Results show that the oscillation frequency of the engine will reduce along with decrease of stiffness and pretightening forces, this will increase the amplitude of maximum fluctuation and frequency components under 2kHz of vibration acceleration.
