Effective method for predicting the parameters of shock waves in plateau environment

Abstract:Aiming at the problem of determining the specific value of overpressure and specific impulse of explosion shock waves in plateau environment, there is a lack of complete prediction and evaluation methods. For this reason, an effective method was proposed to predict the parameters of shock waves in plateau environment on the basis of previous research results. By comparing the experimental data on the plain and the plateau at altitude 4 500 m, the method was verified. The results show that the method can be used successfully to predict the overpressure and specific impulse in plateau environment. When the bomb rises from the plain to a plateau at altitude 4 500 m, the overpressure decay will be intensified with the increasing of scale distance. The overpressure decay can reach more than 20%, and the specific impulse decay is about 17%.
