Uncertainty Modeling of Structural Dynamics for Robust Vibration Control

Abstract:Vibration control is implemented to a flexible cantilever beam with piezoelectric sensor and actuator. The controller is designed using control theory. The design process is detailed, including the parameter errors of the model, the uncertainty weight functions and the performance weight functions. Simulations are carried out to made comparison between the closed system and the open system. And the robust stability of the closed system is also validated when the parameters of model are disturbed. The results verified that the control theory is effective on structural vibration control.
