Abstract:The development on the planetary gear trains (PGTS) dynamics in the past twenty years is discussed, especially vibration and load. This review begins with some research achivement of analytical model and natural vibration, then surveys the recent advances in the dynamic response analysis focused on simulating method, nonlinear vibration and load-sharing. Finaly, the progress on the vibration suppression and experiment is summrized. Some important conclusions which are useful to the dynamic design of PGTS are introduced. The critical issues in the further research on dynamics of PGTS are also discussed.
