Abstract:Based on the wind pressure data from the wind tunnel test, the distributions of the displacementsand the differences of the values of a structure of Expo Axis, which are obtained linearly and nonlinearly in thetime domain, are analyzed. The results indicate that the cantilevered part of high nonlinear behavior appearsstiffness softening. Because of that, the structure stiffness decreases and the displacement increases. Thedisplacement RSM values computed nonlinearly are greater than those computed linearly, but the differences areacceptable from the viewpoint of engineering application; the comparison of power spectral density curves showssimilar energy distributions.
