Analysis of Vibration Characteristics for the Printing Paper Web with Variable Density

Abstract:The transverse vibration problem for the paper web with variable density linearly along width was studied by the differential quadrature method. A transverse vibration model of printing paper web was established. The relationships of nondimensional vibration frequency versus nondimensional velocity, density coefficient and tension ratio of paper web were analyzed. The results show that the differential quadrature method is feasible in solving the transverse vibration problem of variable density moving rectangular paper web. This article provided a theoretical basis for improving the dynamic characteristic of paper web in printing.
