Abstract: The radial vibration of piezoceramic discs stack is investigated by theoretical analysis, numerical simulation, and experimental measurement. Using the piezoelectric constitutive equations, the radial resonant frequency is derived by solving the admittance of the stack which is taken close to infinity. The frequency equation is simulated numerically with software. To validate the numerical calculation results, the resonant frequency of the stack is measured by Impedance Analyzer(Agilent 4294A) and Laser Scanning Vibrometer (POLYTEC PSV-400). Theoretical calculation shows a good agreement with experimental measurement, the errors are less than 1.5%. Measured results also indicate that the resonant frequency of the discs stack is almost same with a disk at the radial vibration mode.
