Abstract: The damage of three-dimension reinforced concrete frame structure suffering from impact is computed with a general formulation. The model has been developed within the framework of lumped damage mechanics. The basic idea is, on the basis of structure mode finite element formula, the combination of the methods of continuum damage and fracture mechanics with the concept of plastic hinge, with the damage parameter being regarded as the inner variable of system. A numerical simulation example of a two-storey RC frame structure is analyzed with both ABAQUS and lumped damage mechanics to verify the feasibility of the present method.
