The magnetic analysis on isolation buffer of magneto-rheological elastomer

Abstract:Abstract: Magnetorheological elastomer(MRE) is a new kind of Magnetorheological material, which are mainly composed of polymer rubber and micron-sized magnetizable iron particles. The isolator based on MR elastomer has the features of no sealing equipments, good stability and rapid response etc, so it has wide potential applications in the small amplitude vibration systems. In this paper, the isolator’s magnetic circuit design was studied and analyzed by the ANSYS FEM. The analysis can be utilized as a reference for designing and predicting the performances of MRE isolator.
