Abstract:Based on the assumptions of linear elastic and one-dimension stress wave, spalling experimental study of steel fiber reinforced concrete bar with fiber volume ratio of 0, 0.75% and 1.50%, respectively, is carried on by using Φ75mmSHPB, and the dynamic tensile strength is obtained by calculating the stress signal recorded by the strain gauge pasted on the specimen considering the shape dispersion and attenuation of stress waves traveling through concrete material. The results show that the dynamic tensile strength is affected by the strain rate and the fiber volume ratio. This paper presents an effective method for testing the dynamic tensile strength of brittle material. The reinforced mechanism of steel fiber is analyzed based on the micro scanning technique.
