Abstract:3-D numerical simulations of stiffened metal plates' dynamic responses under close-range localized blast loading are carried out with the finite element software LS-DYNA, and the blast loading on the stiffened plates is analyzed primarily. The rationality of simulation technology is verified by comparing the simulation results to the published experiments. The main influencing factors of blast loading are analyzed. The numerical results show that the blast loads increase with the increase of equivalent rigidity of stiffened plates, and the stiffeners' configuration and plates' fracture have little influence on the impulsive loading. Based on the simulation results, a loading model for stiffened metal plates under close-range localized blast is proposed.
